No Powerless Apostles of Jesus

There are no powerless apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. The first-century apostles testify that they are witnesses of the resurrection power of Jesus Christ. And they did this with many signs and wonder of their own.

The main reference of today’s Bible Study comes from Acts 5:12-18.

“And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon’s porch”.
(Acts 5:12)

Ultimately, because of their phenomenal display of power among the people, they adored them.

Additionally, note when the disciples of Jesus are most powerful. When they are of one accord or of one heart and of one soul.

The Residents Knew the Powerless Apostles

“And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them”.
(Acts 5:13)

When people approve of you and what you stand for they will come to receive from you. And in their case, the Church grew.

“And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.”
(Acts 5:14)

Observe who “were the more added to the Lord”, adults men, and women. No children. You are accountable to the Lord for your actions above a certain age.

Why did the people carry their sick to the church? They saw the power of God operating through the apostles. None of the apostles was sick. None died from an illness. They were all, powerful in Christ.

Why Did the Sadducees Arrest the Apostles?

“Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them”.
(Acts 5:15)

Therefore, the apostles not only healed the sick but also those afflicted by demons. Observe too, that they had 100% success in healing the sick and afflicted.

“There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one”.
(Acts 5:16)

Finally, the High Priest and Sadducees arrested the apostles because they revealed their inadequacies. They couldn’t heal the people. But the apostles did.

“Then the high priest rose up, and all they that were with him, (which is the sect of the Sadducees,) and were filled with indignation”.
(Acts 5:17)

Unbiased Proof of Power

Do you know that the most demonic opposition you will face is from religious people? The High Priest and the Sadducees were the powerless apostles. They opposed God. But they were blind to their actions.

“And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison”.
(Acts 5:18)

Consequently, any person who proposed that he or she is an Apostle of Jesus Christ must support that claim. Back it up with unbiased proof of power that the Lord God sent him or her. Jesus did. The First Century Church did. And we must unless we are powerless apostles.

The persons who the Lord sends are never powerless apostles. They are all might in Christ.
