As I traverse Acts 7:30-60, I will answer your question: What Did Stephen Preach About Jesus Christ?

Today, he’s recounting the Hebrew's history and is at Moses.

In last week’s Bible Study, I explained that God calls us first then He trains us for our calling.

/**** Third Phase of Moses’ Life: the Final Forty Years ****/

So, forty years after the Lord called Moses he had an encounter with Him!

Click the link in the description to learn about the purpose of Moses’ encounter with the Lord.

The Lord has very unique methods to get our attention to initiate our training.

Here he used a burning green bush that was not being consumed by the fire to capture Moses’ attention!

What did he use for Samuel’s experience with Him?

What was yours?

“And when forty years were expired, there appeared to him in the wilderness of mount Sina an angel of the Lord in a flame of fire in a bush” (Acts 7:30).

“When Moses saw it, he wondered at the sight: and as he drew near to behold it, the voice of the Lord came unto him,” (Acts 7:30).

“Saying, I am the God of thy fathers, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Then Moses trembled, and durst not behold,” (Acts 7:32).

The God of our fathers should be our God too. If your forefather walked with God, I want you to keep that tradition!

“Then said the Lord to him, Put off thy shoes from thy feet: for the place where thou standest is holy ground,” (Acts 7:33).

If Moses had gone to this exact spot before the angel of the Lord got there, would the ground be “holy”?

No way! It’s holy because he is there!

Below, the Scriptures revealed that the Lord was aware of Israel’s suffering and that He deployed Moses to be a ruler over them!

The Lord informed us,

“I have seen, I have seen the affliction of my people which is in Egypt, and I have heard their groaning, and am come down to deliver them. And now come, I will send thee into Egypt. (Acts 7:34).

Who was the Lord speaking to? Moses of course!

He called Moses during the first forty years of his life (Acts 7:23).

I did a Bible Study on, “The First Forty Years of Moses’ Life”, and I will leave a link to it in the description below this Bible Study!

Then, he was in training for forty more years! (Acts 7:30).

So, eighty years after the Lord called Moses He sent him to liberate Israel from slavery (Acts 7:34).

I also did a Bible Study on the Second Phase of Moses’ Life.

I’ll also leave a link to it in the description below this video.

And to think that today, many Christians jump into the Ministry of the Word of God without calling or training!

“This Moses whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge? [T]he same did God send to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel which appeared to him in the bush,” (Acts 7:35).
