No More Curse
“And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads,” Revelation 22:3-4.
There are two main types of curses the curse of the Lord and the curse of man, Proverbs 3:33 and Numbers 22:5-6. Besides Satan, Cain and Canaan, very few persons are cursed by the Lord, Genesis 3:14; 4:11 and 9:25. The Lord does not directly curse people.
Instead, the Lord will define and explain His Laws and those who disobey them will enter into the curse because of disobedience, Galatians 3:10. The opposite is true, people are blessed by obeying God’s Word, Deuteronomy 27:1-26 and 28:1-68 are great examples of this principle.
Why There Shall be no More Curse?
The Lord cursed the earth because of Adam’s disobedience, Genesis 3:17. However, the old earth shall pass away and there will be a new one, Revelation 21:1. The curse of the old earth would have ended when it passed away.
Owing to the fact, all things will be new the new earth will be free from any curse, Revelation 21:4-5. Additionally, “the throne of God” will be in the earth, in the Bride of Christ. God’s throne cannot be in any place where there is unholiness much less a curse.
All the peoples of the earth will enter into the New Jerusalem. If the earth was cursed they could not live in the cursed earth and enter the New Holy City because they would make it cursed too. Did you know that Jesus became curse for you? Therefore, you are free from any curse.
The new earth will always be free from curse because the Lord God promised not to curse the earth again, Genesis 8:21.
The Lord also instructs us not to curse, Romans 12:14, but to bless instead. He also encouraged Believers to return blessings for cursing, Luke 6:28 and Matthew 5:44.
As Believers, Jesus Christ became a curse for you when he was nailed to the cross, Galatians 3:13. Therefore, all curses that may have been spoken against you are destroyed when Jesus died for you. Additionally, Jesus has blessed and prayed for all whom believed the Word that he gave his disciples.
If Jesus Became a Curse For You And Bless You Who Can Curse You?
If Jesus became a curse for you and bless you who can curse you? No one can curse he whom God has not cursed, John 17:20-21. To recap, curse will end because there will be a new earth and new people living in it. The new earth will be free from curses and there will not be any cursed things or people in the new earth.
The redeemed will live in the New Jerusalem with their God and the Holy God cannot live in an unholy place. We “shall serve him” and we “shall see his face”. This has never happen before because no man has ever seen the face of God. One of the blessings for being in the First Resurrection is we shall wear the Lord’s name in our foreheads indicating we are His. Who can curse what is for the Lord’s?
There will be no more death, tears, crying, sea, sorrow, deception, pain and sin, Revelation 21:4. Therefore, it makes good sense there will be no more curse too, Revelation 22:3.
