Jesus Reveals Deception
The master of deception has come to earth with great anger but Jesus Christ (the wisdom of God) came to reveal every deception if you only trust and believe in him, 1 Corinthians 1:24.
We are still at the Seventh Angel, the third woe but the Second Beast of Revelation Chapter Thirteen. John saw another beast in his vision of heaven: “And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon,” Revelation 13:11.
The second Beast came “up out of the earth” but the first Beast “rise up out of the sea.” We know the first Beast is a political system. The second Beast is the master of deception. The two horns are two kings; the appearance of “a lamb” is to effect deception, gentle and peaceful. However, by their fruits you shall know them, if the second beast speaks, as Satan, then he is Satan.
“And he exercise all the power of the first beast before him, and causes the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed,” Revelation 13:12.
The function of the second beast is similar to that of the first Beast, motivate the peoples of the earth to worship Satan. Additionally, by deception he shall cause the people to believe in him because of his many miracles.
“And he does great wonders, so that he makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,” Revelation 13:13.
Jesus Told His Disciples of Deception by Signs and Wonders
The second beast is imitating the operation of a prophet of God. The Prophet Elijah on more than one occasion caused fire to descend from heaven in the presence of the people to prove he heard from God. The second Beast is doing the similar thing and it’s not coincidental but he’s a prophet of deception.
“And deceive them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live,” Revelation 13:14.
The Second Beast deceived the people of the earth by means of many miracles that he did on the earth. What was the deception? Owing to the fact that the previous verse of Scripture alluded to Prophet Elijah we know the Second Beast’s deception. The Second Beast deceived the whole earth by declaring that he is That Prophet who should come, that is, Jesus Christ and he utilized many signs and wonders to validate his claim that he is the Messiah.
Recall, some of the people believed on Jesus by observing his miracles, John 2:23. The Beast is using the working of miracles to deceive the people, deception by signs and wonders.
Jesus is the wisdom of God he sees through every deception
Jesus Christ foretold the deception of the Second Beast. Jesus informed his disciples to be attentive to his words and allow nobody to deceive them. Jesus said, “For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many,” Matthew 24:5.
Note well, no time is given for the advent of any of the Beasts, why?
“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect,” Matthew 24:24 and 24:20-26.

Finally, Satan, through the Beasts continues to make a travesty of Jesus’ ministry. He is attempting to prove that whatever Jesus did he can do also even if it’s by deception. He’ s angry because he could not “devour Jesus at his birth; the Two Olive Tress assisted Jesus; he was cast out of heaven; and he was defeated by Jesus.
Therefore, Satan, the Deceiver is come down to the earth “having great wrath” to deceive “the whole world” because he is the master of deception. In closing, Satan’s deception can only affect you if you take your eyes off Jesus Christ your Savior. Trust in the Lord Jesus for direction and guidance in all your decisions don’t lean on your own understanding. Jesus is the wisdom of God he sees through every deception .
