Israel to Suffer Persecution?

Israel Allows to Suffer Persecution

Today let’s focus our energies on why the Lord allows Israel to suffer persecution. I have looked at the birth and escape of the woman’s son; the reason for the war in heaven and ways the dragon (Satan)  utilize to persecute the Woman, Israel. The entire earth suffers at the ‘hand’ of  Satan. Does Satan persecute Israel differently from how he afflicts the remainder of the earth? The Lord explains how He allows Israel to suffer persecution by a grand metaphor.

Israel is allowed to suffer persecution but she is not forgotten. After Israel brought forth the man-child, Jesus Christ, she ran away into the desert from Satan. The desert is a desolate place however, the Lord made provision for her survival. Israel ran to the Lord’s Safe House; she ran to “where she hath a place prepared of God,” a prepared place of safety from Satan. At this safe house in the desert Israel will be cared for a predetermined time, “that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days,” Revelation 12:6.

Israel is allowed to suffer persecution because the Lord made provisions for her survival. The Lord assisted Israel to escape the persecution of Satan. Now, who can out run a dragon? After Israel had her son, she ran away from the dragon and into the desert . Israel was at a disadvantage for she cannot out run Satan. The Lord, provided Israel “two wings of a great eagle” so she could fly to the safe house in the desert away from Satan, Revelation 12:14.

Although Israel is allowed to suffer persecution, even the land will assist her. As Israel was making her escape from Satan he cause a flood, “And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood,” Revelation 12:15.

“The earth helped” Israel for it “opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.” Consequently, Israel got away from the serpent to safety.

The remnant of Israel allowed to suffer persecution

Despite the fact that the Lord made provisions for and assisted Israel He still allowed her to suffer persecution at the hand of Satan. The Scripture says of Satan, “he persecuted” Israel,  Revelation 12:13. Israel will have problems from her Arab neighbors.

This metaphor is the only place, I know in Scriptures, that reveals and utilizes most of our Adversary names, Revelation 12:1-17.

However, let Iran, Syria, Palestine, and all other countries know the only way they can destroy Israel is if they turn their back on their Lord. The Lord allows Israel to suffer persecution because of sin. They have done evil and forgotten their God, 2 Kings 21:14-15.

The Lord promised to gather all the Jews from the four corners of the earth and bring them back to Israel and that has started, Ezekiel 36:24. When Israel turn to God and obey His Words He will fight for them and their time to suffer persecution would end, Ezekiel 36:25-38.

The Lord also allows the remainder of the world to suffer persecution but unlike Israel. Satan is angry at Israel because she gave birth to the only person who have defeated him, Jesus Christ. Therefore, he pursued her with all “wrath” and when he could not get to her, he turned his attention to a small group of Jews, The Remnant. The Remnant are Jewish Believers because they possess  “the testimony of Jesus Christ,” Revelation 12:17.

Today, I invite you to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. He will give you strength to suffer persecution for His Word’s sake. Believe on Jesus he suffered persecution for the world and is the only person who can give you eternal life, John 3:16.

In closing, John’s vision is of the future, therefore the Lord will allow Israel to suffer persecution at the hands of the Arab countries surrounding it because they have done evil in God’ eyes. The leaders of these countries are pawns of Satan, through them Israel is to suffer persecution until they “sanctify” the Lord God so much the remainder of the world will fear the name of the Lord God, Ezekiel 36:23. This persecution that Israel is allowed to suffer is in the future but God will stand by them.
