The Lion of the Tribe of Judah is the Lamb of God
Music to the Lamb With Prayers
Welcome to all our readers to a continuation of our Revelation Bible Study. Today we shall continue with Revelation 5:8-10. Yesterday, I identified why the Lamb was worthy to open, to look and to loose the seven seals of the book. Today, we will continue to examine why the Lamb is worthy.
“And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints,” Revelation 5:8.
The Lamb that was killed took the book from Christ Jesus and the twenty-four elders and the four beasts full of eyes worshipped the Lamb. Their worship consisted of playing “harps” with the prayers of saints. The Lion of the tribe of Judah has prevailed to open the book but the Lamb came forward because the Lion is the Lamb. Jesus as the Lion of the tribe of Judah prevailed because he is strong. The Lamb is worthy because he was “slain”. Jesus after is ascension into heaven is Christ Jesus the King he is worshipped in heaven because he has reclaimed his throne. For each of Jesus’ role he has an appropriate name and or title.
“And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for you were slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation,” Revelation 5:9.
The twenty-four elders and the four beasts full of eyes sing “a new song” to the Lamb (Jesus Christ). The lyric of the song is in Revelation Five Verse Five above. This lyric explains why the Lamb is worthy to open the book. The Lamb is worthy, because he has “redeemed us to God by” his “blood out of every” nation. They continue to worship the Lamb with music. They made music by pouring the prayers of saints from “golden vials” on the harps instead of using their fingers to play the music.
The Lamb Gave us Recognition and Status with God
The twenty-four elders and the four beasts full of eyes said “us” referring to themselves but including the “thousands of thousands” that were worshipping the Lamb. Here, Jesus Christ is revealing to us that all peoples on earth who believed in him shall be redeemed to God irrespective of their nationality.
Recall, that Jesus came to save the world, not just Jews, but “whosoever believes on him”, John 3:16. “And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth,” Revelation 5:10.
When we were unknown to God because of our sins the Lamb by his blood gave us recognition and status with God, he made us ”kings and priests” to God. The Lord God never sees human beings as people but treats us as VIPs. He sees us as the same despite our gender. Therefore, He called Adam and Eve, Adam for the Scripture says He “called their name Adam,” Genesis 5:2.
To the same extent, God refers to each person as a “soul” and not as a person but as a soul. Therefore, from the first time He made Adam a “living soul” until he redeemed us by restoring our soul we are his souls. The Lord made provision through the Lamb – Jesus Christ – to save your soul from eternal damnation and torments if you believe on Jesus Christ.
The World Redeemed to God by the Lamb
You language is not an issue, you nationality is not an issue for if you are Chinese, Japanese, Korean, African, European, North American, or Caribbean or from any other country you can have eternal life by believing on Jesus Christ the Lamb slain for your sins.
In closing, the world is redeemed to God when the Lamb was slain on Calvary’s Cross. However, it cannot manifest for you until you believe that Jesus is the Son of God. By believing on Jesus Christ, you will be born again and your soul restored to God thus completing the redemption of your soul. Believe the words of Jesus Christ obey them and receive eternal life, for if you believe on Jesus you will “reign on the earth” forever. Your redemption to God was paid by the blood of the Lamb.
