John Receives Son of Man Revelation From Christ Jesus
Welcome to the Book of Revelation Bible Study, this is our second day. Today’s reference is Revelation 1:9-20. John starts out by introducing himself and explained where he was and how he got the Revelation of Jesus Christ, Revelation 1:9. He explains that he receives the revelation of Jesus Christ by the Holy Ghost on the Sabbath, Revelation 1:10.
First, John the Divine tells us he heard ”a great voice” like a trumpet speaking behind him, Revelation 1:10. The voice identifies itself (but we still don’t know who owns the voice yet),”I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last.” Then the voice gave him instructions mainly, to “write in a book”, whatever he sees and send it to the Seven Churches of Asia. The seven churches of Asia are : Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamos, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea, Revelation 1:11.
Then John turned to see who was speaking. He saw “seven golden candlesticks.” Among the candlesticks he saw saw someone who resembles the “Son of Man”. He was dressed in a long clothing down to his foot and he was wearing a “golden” belt, Revelation 1:12-13.
John the Divine continue his description of this person who resembles the Son of Man. His head and his hair were “white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire,” Revelation 1:14. His feet were like “fine brass” as if “they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters,” Revelation 1:15.
John continues to describe the Man that looks like the Son of Man. He had seven stars in his right hand; a sharp two edged sword went from his mouth and his face was as bright as the sun shinning at noon. “And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead.” Then he placed his right hand on John and told him not to be afraid. He said, “I am he that” lived and “was dead; and behold, I am alive for evermore,” and I have the “the keys of hell and of death,” Revelation 1:16-18.
Your Revelation of Jesus Christ Must Come From the Spirit Like John
Then the man that resembles the Son of Man instructed John. He told John to write about three groups of things, the things that he has seen; “the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter,” Revelation 1:19. Then the Son of Man look alike explained the seven stars in his right hand and the seven golden candlestick that John had seen. He told John the seven stars represent the seven angels of the seven churches and the seven candlesticks represent the seven churches, Revelation 1:20.
Have you observed how John the Divine got the Revelation of Jesus Christ? John received the Revelation of God by the Holy Ghost, i.e. the “Spirit”. This was not his spirit but the Spirit of God residing in him. We can get nothing from God except by His Spirit. Even this Bible Study has to come by His Spirit. Ensure you have the Spirit of God and if you never spoke in tongues you don’t have His Spirit. This statement is very blunt but it’s a matter of hell or eternity with Christ. If you don’t have the Spirit of Christ Jesus you will not see him as your King, because you don’t belong to Him, Romans 8:9. Whose spirit possess you? To whom do you belong? The spirit that resides in you indicates your lord.
We know that the person that John saw that resembles the Son of Man is indeed the Lord because he declared himself in Revelation Chapter One Verse Eight. The voice John heard “as of a trumpet” declared the same thing that the Lord declared about Himself earlier, Revelation 1:11. There can only be one “First and Last” and he is really the Son of Man who is Jesus Christ. So John was speaking to Jesus. The same Son of Man Daniel saw and wrote about, Daniel 7:13.
All that the Son of Man told John above and later constitute the Testimony of Jesus Christ; the Word of God and what John saw, spoken of in verse two.
John Received Revelation Concerning Seven Stars in Right Hand of Christ Jesus
Before the Revelation of Jesus Christ Scriptures did not have a description of Jesus until now. Revelation Chapter One Verses thirteen to fifteen described the Lord. Now Jesus has gone back to the splendor of heaven and the description we receive from John is of Christ Jesus and not Jesus Christ. There was nothing remarkable or outstanding about Jesus’ physical appearance, Isaiah 53:2. But John’s revelations reveals his heavenly royalty.
The Apostles testified that Jesus rose from the dead. However, Jesus testified for himself in the Revelation of Jesus Christ for he said he lived, he died and lived again forever. Jesus also confirmed that he went to hell and brought back the keys of hell and the keys of death. Friends your hope in Jesus is in God and Jesus is alive.
In closing, the three general categories of John’s revelation of Jesus Christ as expressed by Revelation Chapter One Verse Two is adjusted by Jesus’ Testimony in verse nineteen. John will continue to “bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.” However, now John will reveal Jesus Christ using these three guidelines within three broader and more far reaching framework namely to write the things he saw; “the things which are, and the things” of the future. Recall, the Revelation of Jesus Christ is a book of prophecy. From Revelation Chapter Two onwards John’s description of his revelation will conform to this new structure.

Why the mark of the beast is present now: and what the mark actually is.
Revelation 13:1-2 (KJV)
[And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.] 2[And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as ] the feet[ of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.]
The mark of the beast exists now because the mark is in fact a spiritual mark, that represents the spiritual condition of an individual, saint or sinner.
The mark of the beast is the spiritual mark of the incomplete person, who has not been truly born again. And doesn’t actually keep the 2 commandments.
Keeping the two commandments is a spiritual act, only accomplished by those who are filled with the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:8-10 (KJV)
8[So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.] 9[But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.] 10[And if Christ ] be[ in you, the body ] is[ dead because of sin; but the Spirit ] is[ life because of righteousness.]
Jesus commanded believers to keep the two commandments he mentioned in Matthew chapter 22. A command must be kept by those who care and truly believe that Jesus is the son of God. Jesus Christ the son of God must be obeyed. He is the king of kings, and the lord of lords. The creator of ALL things. Under the new covenant that Jesus established by the shedding of his blood, which gives life to the lifeless. We who believe in him MUST do as he commands without fail, if we are to enter into his kingdom and share in the love and blessings of the Father.
Unfortunately this worlds system does not value the commands of Jesus. The world system I’m speaking of is capitalism/ democracy, that the entire world has been deceived by. Capitalism is the globalized world dynamic that has caused racism, classism, poverty, and war. Jesus said, “the beast is corporations, governments, and organized religions, and the people who support them thru labor”. The people of this world live by what governments decide is important, what corporation have taught us to value, what organized religions call the will of God. By doing this the people of this world have separated themselves from God spiritually. Capitalism is not the two commandments. Democracy is not the two commandments. Capitalism and democracy can not exist within the heavenly construct of love God with all your heart, and all your soul, and all your mind, and love your neighbor or fellow human as yourself or oneself. To believe that a person can actually love God and neighbor while laboring daily within a world system of the beast is hipocracy and a deception of Satan .
Labor is the key word here, when speaking of excepting the mark of the beast. What is labor?

6. Labor A political party representing workers’ interests, especially in Great Britain.
Labor is work to accomplish a specific task or goal. What is the task or goal of corporations, business? To make a profit. Making a profit is what is most important within a system of capitalism . Profit has nothing to do with the two commandments. Mankind has been taught to work for a company or establish your own company or business (entrepreneur) for the purpose of profit and prosperity of the owner and employees. Unfortunately within a world system of the beast there is no true love for neighbor, so in reality what is taking place within business, and in the world is a structure of small and great, rich and poor, free and bond. As the scripture says, all within this system are marked with the mark of the beast. As well as all saints that labor within it.

16And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:[] 17And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

7And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
Employment is looked upon in society as valuable, by being employed and working to gain a profit, we have been given purpose and have established meaningful lives within a corrupt system. Business owners pay wages to employees, so a living can be maintained, to buy and to sell. However this continues a domino effect of sin from generation to generation, from young to old. The sin of employment is worship of a false God or idolatry. People labor for the beast 247. Working in jobs around the globe that continue survival/livelihood based on corporate goals. Once again, the goals of business are not the two commandments. Jesus did not teach people to live by greed and prosperity and profit. Matthew 4:4 (KJV)
4But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Prepare yourselves! John 1:23-24 (KJV)
23[He said, I ] am[ the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.]
Those that believe in Jesus Christ as the son of God must repent of all sin and remove the spiritual mark of the beast. It is in the hand and in the forehead, but it’s spiritual it cant be seen. There is no other mark of the beast besides this. It is the spiritual mark of a person who has not been truly born again. Any truly born again follower of Jesus will keep the two commandments. As the scripture says, God is a spirit, and they that worship him MUST worship him in spirit, and in truth.
John in the book of Revelation saw the mark while he was in the Spirit. It was revealed to him because he was spiritual. He lived and walked in the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the spirit of truth. Revelation 1:10-11 (KJV)
10[I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,]
The mark of the beast can be removed. It is sin. All sin can be forgiven, all except one. That one, is the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit..
Matthew 12:31-32 (KJV)
31Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
Now that the truth has been revealed, do as the scripture says and make the right choice. Don’t except the mark of the beast. Revelation 13:8-9 (KJV)
8And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.[] 9[If any man have an ear, let him hear.]
Revelation 14:9-12 (KJV)
9And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:[] 11And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. 12Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Have faith in your creator, he is in CONTROL, please believe. Trust that Jesus can and will make a way for you in your individual situation. The flesh is concerned about fleshly issues. Love not the world. 1 John 2:15-17 (KJV)
15Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16[For all that ] is[ in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.] 17[And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.]

37He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

36Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37[Jesus said unto him, ] Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38This is the first and great commandment. 39And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40On these two commandments hang ALL the law and the prophets.
John 3:3-7 (KJV)
3Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4[Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?] 5[Jesus answered, ] Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
Having the mark, means damnation. Do as Jesus said, be born again and keep the two commandments. You must know for sure if your name is written in the lambs book of life. How do you know? By worshipping the Father in spirit, by the Holy spirit. There must be evidence of the Holy spirit within. Not with lying babblings learned from false prophets. But by true spiritual gifts given by Jesus as the Spirit gives utterance. The Holy Spirit speaks when he is ready, and stops when he is ready, not when man commands or wants to. Speaking in tongue is not entertainment or a show. Tongues have ceased in the modern and sinful unspiritual church because there is no interpretation. When an individual repents and is baptized, that person must fight to remove all sin from their lives. Then fast and pray for Jesus to fill them with the Holy Spirit. The evidence of being filled is speaking in tongue temporarily.

17And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
1 Corinthians 12:4-11 (KJV)
4[Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.] 5[And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.] 6[And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.] 7[But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.] 8[For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;] 9[To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;] 10[To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another ] divers[ kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:] 11[But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.]
When a person hears the message of salvation through Jesus and repents, that is not complete salvation. It is but the beginning of the journey of true salvation. When the two commandments are bring kept by the spirit, that is true salvation.
