His Name's Sake

The World Will Hate You For Jesus Name's Sake

We Are Saved For His Name’s Sake

While exploring praying effective prayers it was an imperative to examine  the role the sake of the Lord’s name, for his name’s sake, plays in our prayers. The name of Jesus influences every area of a Christian’s life. All of our behaviors, whether we are aware of it or not, are for His name’s sake. All our efforts should be directed towards the name of the Lord Jesus. The name of the Lord summaries the qualities of the Lord God, Exodus 34:1-6.

If we pray to the Lord God, we should pray to his name. We pray for His Holy name’s sake. If we worship we should worship God for his great and holy name’s sake. If we exercise faith in God, we should do so through the name of His holy child Jesus Christ. When our prayers are answered immediately it’s for His holy name’s sake. Even our sins are forgiven for His name’s sake, 1 John 2:12. Frankly, there is no area of a Believer’s life that the name of Jesus does not influence.

All the persecutions and the problems Apostle Paul experienced were for the name of Jesus, for His name’s sake, Acts 9:16. All the miracles of the First Century Church were for His name’s sake. When Apostle Peter healed the lame man by Gate Beautiful of the Temple, it was for the name of Jesus, for His name’s sake, Acts 3:16; 4:12. All our labour for the Kingdom of Heaven is for His name’s sake, Revelation 2:1-3.

Apostle Paul reminds us why we “received grace and apostleship”, for His name’s sake, Romans 1:5. Of course, our salvation is non-existent without the name of Jesus. We are saved for His names’ sake. We are not baptized in another person’s name, 1 Corinthians 1:15, but in the name of Jesus, for his holy name’s sake, Acts 2:38; Matthew 28:19-20.

The World Hates Believers For Jesus Name’s Sake

Concerning the Lord God, the only thing more important than His name is His Word, Psalm 138:2. The reason being, the Word of the Lord is the essence of who God is, a Spirit, John 1: 1-3; John 4:24.

In closing, do everything in the name of Jesus and you would we operating for His name’s sake. Speak in His name, teach, pray, preach and praise in His name do all in His name and He will give you good success. The main reason the world hates us is for His name’s sake. Not because of  our knowledge of His Word but for His name’s sake.

“Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake,” Matthew 24:9;Mark 13:13;Luke 21:17.
