Sanctified by the Blood of Jesus
Jesus Sanctified All Humanity
Jesus sanctified all of humanity when he bled on Calvary’s Cross. Holy and sinless blood was necessary to atone once for the sin of the world. Jesus provided his blood at his crucifixion. Jesus bled from seven groups of wounds in at least four different places.
Individuals who believed the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ are sanctified when they are Born Again. First, they are sanctified by believing Jesus is the Son of God. Second, Believers are sanctified by water baptism in the name of Jesus. Finally, Believers are sanctified when they receive the Spirit of Christ or receive the Baptism of the Ghost.
Jesus Keeps Us Sanctified by His Word of Truth
However, to remain sanctified every Believer MUST assimilate the Word of God. Each Believer needs to receive the Word of God. He needs to get the Word into his heart from off the pages of the Bible. Then hide it, keep it and do it to produce one-hundred fold increase. The Word of truth, the Word of God, sanctifies us.
To sanctify generally means to make clean, pure, or purge but the Lord uses it in various ways with diverse meanings. The various usages and meanings of the word “sanctify” are scattered throughout the Bible.
The need for sanctification is measure by who affected it. To sanctify humanity was so important the Holy Lord God became man (Jesus Christ) to shed sinless blood to sanctify us from the sin of Adam. Jesus the Lamb of God took our sins on himself to justified fallen man with the Lord God.
How the Lord Jesus accomplishes sanctification is marvelous and heavenly. Sanctification by the Lord is irreversible: man cannot undo God’s work.
