Are Your Actions as Children of Light Wise or Foolish Regarding Your Decision to Repent?

Holy Ghost Resides in the Children of Light

The Scriptures say “the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light,” Luke 16:8. Brethren, do not be confused by this. This statement does not mean the people of the world are wiser than the people of God. This would constitute a contradiction of God’s Word, and there can be no confusion in God. He is a God of order. Since the Holy Ghost is alive and residing in the Children of Light there is no way the person who has no relationship with God can be wiser than him. Let us examine what the Lord has to say about this!

According to Matthew 25:1-14, there were ten virgins. Five virgins were called foolish and five called wise.  Five virgins were described as  “foolish” because of what they did. The other five virgins were conversely described as  “wise”  by what they did too. Therefore both wise and foolish virgins are assessed base on their actions.

Again according to Matthew 25:15-29 there were three servants one got five talents of money, one two and the other one.  Why were two servants complimented by their master and the other one reprimanded? Those servants who got five and two talents were described as “well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord,” respectively. The other was reprimanded. Why?

Children of Light Wiser – Wise Actions

Again, according to Matthew 7:24-29, why was the man who build his house on sand and the other who build on rock described as “foolish” and “wise” respectively? The answer is the same for the unjust steward; for the ten virgins; for the three servants and for the two builders, they were described by the Scriptures as either “foolish” or “wise” based on what they did, their actions. So we must conclude when the Scriptures say, “for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light,” Luke 16:8, it is referring to their actions and not intellectual capacity. In other words, being “foolish” or “wise” depend on how willing you are to believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ, repent from your sins and turn towards God.

Be numbered with the Children of Light and may your actions speak wisely on your behalf

So in closing, if you want the Lord to say to you “well done” you have been a “wise” steward of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and a wise steward of the destiny of your soul, repent when you hear the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, repent. It is very important to note,  no one forced the steward to take action, he acted on his own free will. Similarly, we all must repent of our sins on our own free volition when we hear the Word of God. Be numbered with the Children of Light and may your actions speak wisely on your behalf.
